Wine & Elephants

In my book, The Secret Life of Wine, I talk about the reactions of animals to alcohol (which can be unusual to say the least) as part of the exploration. These elephants are exhibit 1. That corn wine in China can be rough.

For the record, elephants get drunk with a blood-alcohol content of around 0.05-0.1g to 100ml. No report on how much alcohol corn wine has in it but all things considered, it looks like it has enough.
